January 2024 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Talk:Year of Africa are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks. Teahouse? Hmm, sounds like a highly western/SYSTEMICBIAS (in enwiki-jargon) terminology for an integral part of a global project (remember,English is a universal language) (and no I ain't tryna be the teacher here, if I ever sounded as such or even if I actually should)
Anyways, more to the point, there's a better, more 'tea-house' like proposal i have in mind 👇
(One among several reasons can be how wikians use almost exclusively US / Western - origin sources (like MSNBC, NYT, BBC, CNN in the news cat. foreg.) as examples, when trying to make a point about reliability in articles, thereby lending the whole RS thing (as well as 'reliability' on Wikipedia) a highly western - elitist "tone/air" ) (especially or atleast among non-western/english newbies) 2402:E280:3D1D:5B0:8992:B002:E06E:55C5 (talk) 21:25, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
