If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:EnableComp, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.Deb (talk) 19:07, 14 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

understood, I took out some promotional language, and I have declatred myself as being paid by enablecomp. I was going to ask someone else to submit one for us but this seemed like the only way. Thank you so much for your assistance.

in addition to my earlier message, we used the following article as a kind of template - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_Mach 23carjar (talk) 19:57, 14 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for drawing attention to that article. I have deleted it, and warned the editor who created it about the conflict of interest guideline and about promotional editing. JBW (talk) 20:09, 14 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wow, I see. So, respectfully, what is the point of declaring myself paid by EnableComp? Like I said, I wanted to have someone else add the article but this seems like the only way. Are you telling me that we don't belong here?, because anyone knows there are many companies represented on Wikipedia. Will you delete them all just because I would like to add mine? 23carjar (talk) 20:17, 14 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inc._(magazine)
This company was referenced in the article of ours that was speedily deleted. EnableComp has been on this list for 10 consecutive years.. something only 1% of the companies listed in the Inc 5000 can say. 23carjar (talk) 20:22, 14 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Frankly, you're wasting your time trying to create an article for your employer without first spending a significant amount of time learning the ropes. First-timers very rarely succeed at this, even if they do declare their COI, because they either don't understand what "neutral point of view" means or they just can't put their personal prejudices to one side for long enough to edit impartially. There are contributors who have succeeded in getting their work accepted even though they admit to having been paid, but it requires considerable skill and experience to achieve this. Deb (talk) 16:35, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your reply. This is why I tried using the "having an impartial person make this for you" option, and let everyone know that I'm paid by EnableComp.. but that doesn't sound like a real option, by Wikipedia's definition. What it looks like to me is if you have friends on the inside of wikipedia you get helped, and your article skates by. If you are a huge company with all the advantages that come along with that, you get the red carpet. Anyone else gets their content deleted with glee... with no offer to help. My article is as unbiased as many company pages we all see on wikipedia every day. I'm happy to remove more language that the exclusive wikipedia club feels is too promo for a non mega company to have about themselves. Instead of telling me to give up and go learn more about wikipedia, Ive used wikipedia since it's inception.. donated several times in the past.. how about offer some help? Or is the job of a wikipedia volunteer exclusively about getting rid of content submitted by people who havent been in your club long enough? 23carjar (talk) 16:45, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi. There are a few flaws in your argument. First, "having an impartial person make this for you" isn't an automatic right. Even if an unpaid contributor was to feel like making the effort, it could take months or even years before they got around to it. When did you make the request and how long did you allow for someone to respond? It doesn't look like you have even added it to this list. Second, a huge company is more likely to meet the notability criteria, which gets them past the first and biggest hurdle. Third, how can Wikipedia be called "an exclusive club" when we have literally thousands of regular contributors, all of whom started from scratch and had to become familiar with the guidelines? Finally, you have been given an indication of how to improve your chances, which sounds pretty helpful to me - but since you're being paid, you can't expect that others who aren't being paid will rush to do the job for you. Deb (talk) 17:05, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Understood and thank you for your patience. I don't expect anything like that, I understand this is a volunteer deal. But for volunteers, you all seem extra motivated to hurriedly delete something out of hand, without offering any help of what is wrong... it seems mostly based on how long I've been using this email to access Wikipedia. I figured being upfront and honest about who I was was the proper way of doing things and would be rewarded. Instead, instant delete. The poor company I referenced as an example of what we were trying to do, instant delete. There is nothing friendly, open, or helpful about what they have you all busily doing. 23carjar (talk) 20:07, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
