July 2020 edit

Your recent edits to User talk:Operator873 could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Please be sure to comment on content, not contributors, and where possible make specific suggestions for changes supported by reliable independent sources and focusing especially on verifiable errors of fact. Thank you. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 00:17, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

2020Editor: Please be aware, on any Wikipedia project making legal threats is strictly prohibited. Operator873talkconnect 14:21, 27 July 2020 (UTC) They are not threats, it is a legal strategy for handling the situation. If anyone goes to the originsl source of claim they will see this: “UAE to celebrate today the official wedding ceremony of Dubai Crown Prince, and his two brothers, Sheikh Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Sheikh Ahmed, chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation”

Source: Government of Dubai Media

Keeping in mind: No brides were listed ever. Also keeping in mind a CELEBRATION OF THE ELDERS occurred which was a celebration for historical marriage of the Al Maktoum families. As stated, there have NEVER been ANY female brides listed from ANY official source. The addition of female names were mere speculation and grossly incorrect. Laws provide protections from such poor reporting and damage to reputation, images, anguish caused to all involved parties. Suggesting legal recourse is not threatening,it’s a legal remedy for intentional wrongdoing for those who have intentionally misguided the public at the peril of others. Why would mention of legal action or recourse be strictly prohibited on Wikipedia?

2020Editor (talk) 22:37, 27 July 2020 (UTC) Posted from talk page. There are a few editors that are editing for personal reasons. Again, I ask all sources be examined for authentic and official content without the articles hearsay or additions. To be a valid source there is nothing more to report than the only original source not listing any female names in reference to any brides. Simply a wedding of the elders. 2020Editor (talk) 22:41, 27 July 2020 (UTC) 2020Editor (talk) 04:47, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Deepfriedokra Obviously they didn’t source check. That’s what I am saying. There was ONE press release ONLY. With zero mention of ANY BRIDE, BRIDES or females. Male names only. Any further publications were based on hearsay, speculation and cannot provide a reliable official source for ANY FEMALE names or even a marriage to any females! Again! Asking the articles in reference be examined by investigative reporters/editors to invalidate source information listing male and females were married. Let alone female specific names. What are you honestly here for and why are you so adamant about blocking me when I’m trying to provide solid information? COI? 2020Editor (talk) 07:24, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

To avoid misunderstandings, use less charged wording, such as "that statement about me is false and damaging, and I ask that it be corrected." Rather than immediately blocking users who post apparent threats, administrators should first seek to clarify the user's intention, if there is any doubt. 2020Editor (talk) 07:29, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have no interest in the content dispute on that page, beyond stopping the disruption caused by the edit warring. A bolder admin than I has protected that page for a year, so maybe it can stop being a problem. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 09:22, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I’m a new editor to Wikipedia and the block was done to bully me as a new editor. If the individual in discussion felt threatened or that I was threatening they would’ve blocked me. For someone not even in the discussion to block was unprofessional and premature. If you look at all content, I was ADVISED and DIRECTED to go to the talk page to address lack of source information. Further, I wanted to know how to have the editors who have repeatedly added the information as if they have a COI and are in fact PAID editors. When I brought the idea that they may have financial gains by continuing to add information which was based on hearsay only, it supports if anything a reason to look into their incessant behavior of adding and blocking. I’m here to add reliable information that is unbiased, unpaid, non political in which false reporting has damaged reputations. I’m disappointed these editors are bullying new editors on Wikipedia and if you look at the comments posted, the editor suggesting the block made a PERSONAL opinion based on knowledge of NOTHING, suggesting a warning wouldn’t be enough! Unblock discussion edit

All you need to be unblocked per WP:NLT is to state clearly, "I have no intention of taking legal action against Wikipedia or any of its editors, and apologise for giving that impression." Or, "I have concluded my legal action against Wikipedia or any of its editors". That's all you need to state. This nonsense in one of your unblock requests is disruptive and will lead to you losing access to your talk page if continued. I estimate you have one appeal left before that happens. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 09:18, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Any unblock needs to be requested on the sockmaster's account - User talk:Hpx130. Cabayi (talk) 10:14, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Waves hand. Says hi. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 10:16, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

I’ve already written to the stewards and WIKIMEDIA how I’m not being helped here, just alot of bullying and premature speculation about being grouped to persons I do not know. 2020Editor (talk) 11:01, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Further, I have NO IDEA who or HOW to get to a SOCKMASTERS account as I am 4 days NEW. As in policy DONT BITE THE NEWCOMER and policy on block requests that discussion should take place first. Which clearly did not occur. I was accused of Sock puppetry, legal threats, being in an organized group, put on some stupid watch post list. Seriously, went too far with named editor harassing 2020Editor (talk) 11:05, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

In addition I need to write an article about large grocery chains and need to get past this rubbish nonsense back and forth childs play 2020Editor (talk) 11:08, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Worst part for you Deepfriedokra is you’re and ADMINISTRATOR and shouldn’t be BULLYING NEWCOMERS! 2020Editor (talk) 11:13, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
