editHello, I'm Awilh37. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Libra (astrology) have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Awilh37 (talk) 19:23, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Packerfan386. I noticed that you recently removed content from Milwaukee without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. The city is large and well known enough that removing the entire section should probably be discussed a bit beforehand. Packerfan386beer here 16:08, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- Then look at the talk page. According to Chimino, "In Popular Culture" sections are not appropriate for city articles and should be removed.” Do you want them blocked or not? 2.103.231.248 (talk) 21:16, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- I stand by that statement. How many other city articles on WP have an IPC section? It cheapens the article and in no way promotes the city of Milwaukee (quite the opposite, actually).—Chimino (talk) 03:20, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
- What does “cheapen” even mean? By the way, who added that IPC thing? Also in the city articles, I don’t know how much cities have those IPC! Why do they use that for such? Give me a few reasons why they use IPC things in articles. (like in a city or any other article) 2.103.231.248 (talk) 08:31, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
- Can you answer my reply? No one replied to my question. Well, simply click on the edit history of Milwaukee and you should see me. 2.103.231.248 (talk) 10:13, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- Editors do not generally have to reply or continue any conversation if they do not want to, and that is completely fine. But since you seem to want some guidance I will try my best to respond to your question:
- If you feel like the section should not be there, I would suggest checking MOS:POPCULT to determine what items should be there, what parts simply need to have their impact explained, and what content has no source (that you can find) which would justify it remaining in the article under MOS. I feel that some of this trivia is relevant and notable, and some of it is not, while a few points are notable but such notability is not explained enough as of current. Either way, I would take the disclaimer stated in the guideline into consideration:
"This guideline does not suggest removing trivia sections, or moving them to the talk page. If information is otherwise suitable, it is better that it be poorly presented than not presented at all."
- Also, I heavily recommend making an account if you plan to contribute to Wikipedia. The experience can be much better for everyone you communicate with. jayhawker6 (talk) 18:17, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
- But who even added the IPC section in Milwaukee? 2.103.231.248 (talk) 22:01, 11 February 2024 (UTC)

editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. Alexeyevitch(talk) 11:07, 14 February 2024 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
