Chimera

edit

Thank you very much for fixing my mistake at Discovery Program regarding the Chimera mission. I don't know how I did such mistake when I wrote that. I probably had several tabs open for several missions, and used the wrong one. Anyway, thanks. Rowan Forest (talk) 14:38, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Comments on Draft:Chimera (spacecraft)

edit

You are correct as to my personal policy of not "re-reviewing" something. Just taking a look at the article, it definitely seems to meet notability requirements so it should definitely pass the second time. Personally, I'm very interested in NASA concepts which is why I reviewed the article. You say you are the principle investigator of the Chimera mission concept. I hope you stick around Wikipedia, as expert opinions are much needed in astronomy topics. One thing I would delete (it just looks out of place) is the header that says "Resubmission of Chimera Concept Page [Note: See also 'Centaurus (spacecraft mission)', 'Trident (spacecraft)', 'ISOCHRON (spacecraft)' as other concepts submitted to the same program call]".

If you are however connected to the Chimera concept, that would constitute a conflict of interest. This isn't the end of the world, but you should take these steps to ensure that your article won't be declined, or worse, you are blocked. First, add this template [1] to your userpage (which you will have to create). That will serve as notice that you have a conflict of interest. I would also read WP:COI. Although I don't know all the ins and outs of the policy, it seems as if you should be good to go after this as editors with COIs are still allowed to put their articles through AFC, as long as their articles are neutral (which as far as I can tell, yours is).

As for re-reviewing, I don't think it is possible to "expedite" the process or anything like that. I don't think you should be worried though as most AFCs that take a long time, in my experience, are the ones on the edge of notability, but yours seems to be pretty unambiguously notable at this point so should be accepted soon. Let me know if you have any other questions! Sam-2727 (talk) 05:02, 20 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
