Hi scope_creep, thanks for your message, I'm new to this. Looking at the talk page there does seem to be interest in the change, but it was previously rejected due to lack of references. It is now well reported. Also (again I am not an expert) there is this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Don%27t_revert_due_solely_to_%22no_consensus%22
