July 2021 edit

Hello, I'm Patient Zero. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Footloose (1984 film)—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Patient Zerotalk 22:40, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

August 2021 edit

Hello, I'm Rdp060707. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Home Alone, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ----Rdp060707|talk 04:02, 9 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

September 2021 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Alien (film) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Alien (film) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed () is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 20:17, 25 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Reference formatting edit

Thank you for your edits to Wikipedia.

I would like to encourage you to consider formatting your references using citation templates such as {{cite web}}. This is not a requirement but I hope it is something you will consider learning. You can do this manually or you might try use tools such as built in RefToolbar to help you.

If an article has many bare URLs that need formatting you might find external tools such as Refill helpful (although as with any automated tools you would be wise to check that the output is correct, it frequently makes wrong guesses when it comes to author names).

I hope you will think about it and try to learn a bit more. Best of luck. -- 109.78.202.31 (talk) 15:50, 13 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Auditions edit

I don't see the value of mentioning that actors, even notable actors, auditioned for roles they didn't get. Many actors audition for many roles. I've raised the question at WT:FILM, where other editors can weigh in. DonIago (talk) 16:49, 15 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

I don't think it is worth noting that an actor declined to even audition for a part[1] so I reverted that change to Donnie Darko. These details might not always be noteworthy. It can be difficult to judge when minor details become worthwhile production notes but please try to consider it a bit more carefully. If your changes are reverted you can always discuss on the article talk page and explain why you believe something is worth including. -- 109.77.193.103 (talk) 04:27, 19 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Please follow the WP:SIMPLE rules and explain your changes with an edit summary. If your edit was reverted, do not repeat the same edits without any explanation.[2] You should have explained what you were adding the first time (i.e. actor declined to even audition) and the second time you should have made it clear why you were adding it to the article (i.e. some reason that explains why this non-event isn't trivia).
If you disagree with your edits being reverted you should start a discussion on the relevant article Talk page. -- 109.78.198.204 (talk) 23:40, 24 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

December 2021 edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (film), did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Editors have already tried to speak with you about adding information about actors auditioning for roles. Continuing to do so indiscriminately call reasonably be called disruptive at this point. DonIago (talk) 22:04, 13 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (film), you may be blocked from editing. As per my note above, you need to stop making additions to film articles that merely state actors were considered for roles. Many actors are considered for many roles. January 2022 edit

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at The Karate Kid. You continue to add casting decisions that don't amount to anything more than "was considered for" and have not engaged on the subject despite several warnings now. Please stop doing so immediately.   Hello, I'm Neocorelight. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, The Graduate, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Neocorelight (Talk) 02:35, 22 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
