Sockpuppetry case

edit

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Jvolkblum (2nd) for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. BlueAzure (talk) 23:05, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:NRzip-codeareas.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 13:24, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please play by the rules

edit

You did some reasonable editing today. I was hopeful that you had finally decided to try to abide by Wikipedia protocols and standards, but then I saw this edit on City School District of New Rochelle, where your old behavior is very much in evidence. Please note that you are still not exempt from policies that apply to other mortals, including but not limited to WP:Verifiability, WP:MOS, and Wikipedia:Copyright violations, and that at least one of us is fully aware that this is a sockpuppet account being used to evade blocks. (See Wikipedia talk:Suspected sock puppets/Jvolkblum (2nd).)

If you want to continue editing, please quit:

  • de-wikifying articles,
  • removing valid sources,
  • adding promotional text and images (particularly plagiarized promotional text and images),
  • misrepresenting plagiarized content as your own original work, and
  • misrepresenting cited sources (for example, do not identify a school district brochure as an article in the Wall St. Journal), and
  • PLEASE do not resume the various other practices that have caused your other Wikipedia identities to be blocked.

American Museum of Magic

edit

Thanks for joining me and thanks for the help. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 11:40, 19 April 2008 (UTC) StanReply

Those sources in the article are the ones I collected when I googled it. Obviously, the main source would be the book, but one would have to retrieve it from a library (or buy it), and I haven't even done that on Frank Murphy and Northern Michigan, which are articles that I have a particular involvement in (among others). Anyway, if you read the sources that are there, there is quite a trove of info. I think that the wiki concept of collaborative writing can work. So have at it. Best regards. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 16:22, 19 April 2008 (UTC) StanReply

An image that you uploaded, Image:NRLelandCastle.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Thank you. Orlady (talk) 14:53, 19 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

A respectful suggestion

edit

Dear 15ParkRow: You have a "user page" in Wikipedia. If you write something on it (anything at all), your user name will be blue in the "history" of articles, not red. Believe me, that is a good thing, as you will not stand out so much as a "newbie." Best of luck. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 16:59, 19 April 2008 (UTC) StanReply

Skype edits

edit

Hi, your edits to the Skype article significantly changed content, and were unexplained. On Wikipedia, if you change something in a significant way, it is important to leave some reasoning in the edit summary blank before you submit changes. This allows other Wikipedians to more easily understand your intentions, etc. I've added back the Skype for Windows Mobile screenshot to the article, as I believe it was an important piece of information to understand Skype for mobile devices. Let me know if you have any questions about anything on Wikipedia, I'll be sure to help you out. Brianreading (talk) 20:07, 19 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

HI! I figured out a little more about this site and reviewing or editing info etc. I agree with you that other people or administrators can and do unfairly target certain articles. Its weird. ciao!--EddieMonsoon (talk) 11:42, 23 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
