Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, at 142.0.4.13, has made edits to HTTP Strict Transport Security that do not conform to our policies and guidelines and therefore have been reverted. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you did not do this, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors. If you'd like to experiment with the syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

You don't have to log in to read or edit pages on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free, requires no personal information, and has many benefits. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you.

Some good links for newcomers are:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask the Help Desk, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to HTTP Strict Transport Security, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. There were a number of problems with your edit:

  • converting |first and |last to |author diminishes the COinS metadata that is generated by the {{cite web}} template
  • The Web browsers article is a legitimate Wikipedia page. To instead link to HTTP cookie is a violation of the Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking#Intuitiveness guideline & Principle of least astonishment.
  • Your change of the from Website protection mechanism to HTTP response header field and associated policy was less accurate & did not adhere to the WP:SDLENGTH recomendation

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
