June 2020 edit

@Callanecc: Just to let you know, I am User:CityOfSails2, who has been blocked from editng in May 2020 for socks. I now have a new, non-blocked IP address. Can I begin editing using this IP address? When you see this please respond here. 125.238.44.111 (talk) 03:49, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Note: I am currently autoblocked and cannot edit any pages other than this just yet. 125.238.44.111 (talk) 03:50, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

No, you need to be unblocked on your main account after you successfully appeal the block. While blocks prevent an account from editing, the purpose is to prevent the person operating it from editing. If you continue to edit around the blocked, any accounts and IP addresses you use will be blocked and any changes you make can be deleted or reverted. Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for block evasion.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 07:56, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.

@Callanecc: My main account is global locked which means I cannot log in to that account and appeal the block. I emailed a steward who refused to unlock me and after a made another request he blacklisted my email address. 125.238.44.111 (talk) 08:30, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

There's really nothing that the English Wikipedia will do until your global lock is lifted. While it isn't a global policy, you could try to request the standard offer which requires that you do not edit, in this case, any Wikimedia Foundation wiki for at least 6 months with any account or IP address.
