Speedy deletion nomination of Art Batiks

edit

A tag has been placed on Art Batiks, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Whether you're done the article or not, it is clearly nothing but promotional for a store, which is not permitted on Wikipedia. Please also note conflict of interest and notability, just in case. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 13:06, 19 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Matara, Sri Lanka. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MuffledThud (talk) 12:49, 19 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Art Batiks, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. MuffledThud (talk) 13:03, 19 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Matara, Sri Lanka

edit

Hello 05theben! Some of the links you have added to Matara, Sri Lanka are inappropriate per our external links guideline. Links included in Wikipedia articles must qualify those criteria, and collections of external links are usually avoided in our articles. Please stop adding this information to the article repeatedly. If you have any doubts, you can discuss about it on the article's talk page. However, if you continue editing like this, I'm afraid you will be blocked. ≈ Chamal talk ¤ 02:01, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

"Wikipedia articles may include links to web pages outside Wikipedia, but they should not normally be used in the body of an article" the links i added ARE in the related to matara. Stop this please!

  1.   This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Culture of Sri Lanka, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. --Chanaka L (talk) 03:25, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
