Ae! Group (Aぇ! group) is a Japanese boy band formed by Johnny & Associates on February 18, 2019. It consists of six members who come from the Kansai region. Ae! Group is the second group from Kansai Johnny's after Naniwa Danshi to be formed. Besides the traditional dance performance, the group also performs as a band as well sketches during live concerts.[1]
History
editAe! Group is produced by Kanjani Eight's You Yokoyama. Yokoyama formed the group mirroring his own group. The word "Ae" refers to Kansai dialect of "ii" (good) in Japanese. The group is the last to be named by Johnny Kitagawa before his eternal rest.[1] They make their first public appearance in Kansai Johnny's Jr. Spring Special Show 2019 on March along with Lil Kansai.[2]
