This is a short tutorial page for editing this bibliography of individual languages of Vanuatu.

Tutorial

edit

Please create a new section by adding, at the right alphabetical place, the (preferred) name of your language between == signs, as in

Tamambo
Then add a link to the WP entry if it exists,

Link to WP entry: Tamambo language

Bibliographical references

edit

Then add bibliographical references you know of (whether yours or others'). To save time, you may want to check if they are already present under your language's entry.

You can either just cut and paste them; or ideally use the WP bibliographical templates, as illustrated below.

 •
 •
 •

You may add comments, or footnotes.[1]

The result will show up as follows:

You can find empty templates on this page; here are some of them:

 •
 •
 •

The same templates can be used vertically if you want:

edit

You may add internet links relevant to your language, like this:

Dorothy Jauncey (2011) Dictionary of Tamambo, Malo. http://paradisec.org.au/vandicts/Tamambolexicon/index-english/main.htm

which yields

Dorothy Jauncey (2011) Dictionary of Tamambo, Malo. http://paradisec.org.au/vandicts/Tamambolexicon/index-english/main.htm

 • If you add simple square brackets around the link:

Dorothy Jauncey (2011) Dictionary of Tamambo, Malo.

you get:

Dorothy Jauncey (2011) Dictionary of Tamambo, Malo. [1]

 • Or you can use this syntax

Dorothy Jauncey (2011) Dictionary of Tamambo, Malo.

and you will get

Dorothy Jauncey (2011) Dictionary of Tamambo, Malo.

 • Finally, you can use the full template:

*

which yields:

Dorothy Jauncey (2011). "Dictionary of Tamambo, Malo".

All possibilities are fine by me. (but we may make a collective decision on the best format for our purposes)
