More Female Architects on Wikipedia (sometimes stylized as Mehr Architektinnen auf Wikipedia) is a campaign to improve coverage of women architects on Wikipedia.

ArtAndFeminism 2014 in Chicago

Wikipedia's gender trouble is well documented. In a 2011 survey, Wikimedia found that less than 13% of its contributors are female. The reasons for the gender gap are up for debate: suggestions include leisure inequality, how gender socialization shapes public comportment, and the contentious nature of Wikipedia's talk pages. The practical effect of this disparity, however, is not. Content is skewed by the lack of female participation. Many articles on notable women in history and art are absent on Wikipedia. This represents an alarming aporia in an increasingly important repository of shared knowledge.

At Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Education and Research Building at The Museum of Modern Art, 4 West 54 Street, on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m (International Women's Day). All day communal updating of Wikipedia entries on subjects related to art and feminism. Tutorials for the beginner Wikipedian, reference materials, childcare, and refreshments.

More than 30 satellite events were organized in Australia, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. The campaign attracted an estimated 600 participants, resulting in more than 100 new Wikipedia articles focused on women and the arts. Click here for outcomes from February 2014.
