Ir. Ts. Dr. Lee Wai Yin is a Prinsipal Consultant of Leadway Consultant (M) Sdn Bhd in building, TNB substations and development projects. He also served Leadway Engineering as a Chief Operating Officer to oversea the EPCC projects. Dr. Lee is also a passionate, reliable and resourceful coach. He has 8 years of experience as corporate consultant and coach. Specializing in human capital development, project management, energy services, construction works and corporate governance. He has an intuitive sense when it comes to maximizing a business potential and shareholders’ return on investment to achieve business sustainability.
Biography
editBorn in Perak, Dr. Lee studied at SJK (c) Wan Hwa1 (1987-1992) and he continued his studies at SMK Mengelembu. He was recognized as a professional engineer that have been professional registered by Board of Engineers, Malaysia and was subsequently admitted as a registered professional technologist by Malaysia Board of Technologist. Dr. Lee is also a passionate, reliable and resourceful coach. Having worked as a corporate consultant and coach for eight years, his areas of expertise include project management, corporate governance, energy services, building, and human capital development. Because of his excellent intuition, he can maximize business potential and increase shareholders' return on investment, which guarantees the sustainability of the company over the long run. This intuitive sense is backed by years of experience and glowing testimonials from clients. In 2022, he is appointed as an adjunct lecturer ( Petronas University of Technology ) and Industry Advisory Panel (Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman) to transfer industry knowledge to the youths.
Education
edit"Dr. Lee was born and lived in Ipoh, Perak. He completed his secondary education at SMK Menglembu (1993 – 1998), where he received the King Scout Award from Persatuan Pengakap Malaysia. He then pursued his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics at Petronas University of Technology, earning the Dean's Award.
Subsequently, he obtained his Master of Business Administration from Nottingham Trent University. In 2020, he graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia with a PhD in Business Administration, also receiving the Dean's Award from the Graduate School of Business. As a proud Perakian, he was awarded the Mybrain Scholarship for his outstanding academic achievements.
Career
editHe has a total of 20 years of work experience in various companies spanning across Constructions, Technology and Energy industries. Dr. Lee started his career as a Design Engineer with UMS-Norelco Limited, a LV machine fabrication company.
He gained design experience of production machines before he moved on to the testing department of Carsem (M) Sdn Bhd. With Carsem, he was a R & D Engineer; testing system involved in the project with US-based companies ST and TI. Then he joined Kejuruteraan Wah Keong a Perak as Project Manager in the EPCC of the various manufacturing plant and commercial projects.
He moved on to join Sancora Industries Sdn Bhd as Senior Project Manager to manage overall projects at the property development site in all states of Malaysia. He serves Leadway Consultancy(M) Sdn Bhd as a Principal Consultant for buildings, substations and development projects. Besides, He also served Leadway Engineering as a Chief Operating Officer to oversee the EPCC projects.
