Edit-warring and apparently blind editing on Islamic garden

edit

Hallo and welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware that the encyclopedia is governed by a set of policies which are strictly enforced. I earlier reverted your unexplained deletion of a couple of paragraphs of reliably cited material introducing the article. I was disappointed to see you just deleted them again in full edit-warring style, again with no explanation. This behaviour would be deplored in an experienced editor, and it is not acceptable from anyone, even a complete beginner - indeed, we have a complete set of warning templates at five levels of seriousness designed exactly to control it. I would ask you immediately, in lieu of such formal cautions, to re-examine the materials you removed, and either to reinstate them or to explain, on the article's talk page, exactly what is wrong with them and why the authorities cited are not in your view reliable. That may be difficult especially with D. Fairchild Ruggles, as she is a recognised scholar of the Islamic garden. I have created a discussion there for your response. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 07:46, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
