Angel'in Heavy Syrup are an all-female Japanese psychedelic rock band formed in 1990 in Osaka. Influenced by krautrockWhilst they did not achieve the large-scale fame of some of their 1970s contemporaries (Pink Floyd, Genesis, etc.), they were one of the few progressive bands to survive the punk rock era and maintain a loyal following.[citation needed]
