As a member of Dhaka University Film Society S.M Nazmul Haque had a lot of opportunity to get involved in a film orientation and enrich his knowledge of world films. He works with several television productions and subsequently, he got his chance to work with renowned German filmmaker Veit Helmer on his workshop film named Dingi produced by the Goethe Institute Dhaka.

After completing his Masters from the University of Dhaka in Bangla Literature, he worked as a Line Producer in Jalal's Story, produced by Impress Telefilm and directed by Abu Shahed Emon. He also worked in Bhuban Majhi as a Line Producer, Produced by Government of Bangladesh and directed by Fakhrul Arefin Khan.

He worked as the Executive Producer in 22 short films produced by American Cultural Center. As a film society activist Nazmul is still learning, committing to prepare himself for a better scenario in Bangladeshi Film. He also works in the Television commercial making industry in Dhaka.
