Chris Hagenow (born January 19, 1972) is the Iowa State Representative from the 43rd District. A Republican, he has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2009. Hagenow was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa, raised where, and resides in Windsor Heights, Iowa. He holds a bachelors degree from the University of Northern Iowa and a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.
As of June 2013[update], Hagenow serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Administration and Rules, Judiciary, State Government, and Ways and Means committees.

what to do here? Chris Hagenow first ran for state representative in 2008, defeating Jerry Sulivan. He then ran for re-election in the 2010 election and the 2012 election. Hagenow was elected as House Majority Whip of the Iowa General Assembly.[1]

Chris Hagenow ran in the 2012 elections for Iowa House of Representatives representing District 43, due to redistricting. He defeated Democratic candidate Susan Judkins.

Initial reports on November 6, 2012, showed Representative Hagenow ahead by 22 votes. On November 15, Judkins formally requested a recount, but she later halted the recount saying "Questions about whether all absentee ballots were counted have been satisfactorily answered and I believe my narrow loss would likely stand even if all ballots were considered." [2]

Chris Hagenow ran for Iowa House of Representatives in the 2010 elections representing District 59. He defeated Democratic candidate Andrew McDowell.
