The Powerpuff Girls: Paint the Townsville Green is a 2D side-scrolling action game developed by Sennari Interactive and published by BAM! Entertainment for the Game Boy Color. It is the second in a trilogy of Game Boy Color games based on the Cartoon Network animated television series The Powerpuff Girls, following Bad Mojo Jojo and preceding Battle Him.

Gameplay edit

In this installment of the series, the player is Buttercup, known as the "toughest fighter" of the three Powerpuff Girls. The Ganggreen Gang, a group of five teenage criminals with green-colored skin, and Fuzzy Lumpkins, a big pink monster from the backwoods, are the game's main antagonists. The player uses Buttercup's super strength to defeat enemies, solve puzzles, and finish levels while collecting power-ups and unlocking new areas. Virtual trading cards may be traded with Bad Mojo Jojo or Battle Him using a link cable and a second Game Boy Color.[1] Special passwords for unlocking additional features were also available online and at participating retailers at the time of the game's release.[2]
