Jessica Creighton (born 16 December) is a British sports journalist and broadcaster who works for the BBC.
Early life
editCreighton was born and bought up in London, England. She spent her childhood and teenage years, playing football, competing in athletics and karate
Broadcasting career
editAfter gaining a degree in broadcast journalism, from Nottingham Trent Univeristy, Creighton began her career as a trainee BBC reporter and was soon promoted to Olympic Sports Reporter.
During the London 2012 Olympics she reported on BBC Radio 4, BBC One and the BBC Sport website.
Creighton has also presented BT Sport’s Women’s Super League Review Show and reported for Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) at the Youth Olympic Games in China.
Jessica currently presents sports bulletins on BBC Two’s Victoria Derbyshire Show and the BBC News Channel.
Awards and nominations
editCreighton was named 2015 Journalist of the Year by the Women’s Sports Trust. She was also included on the 2015 Football Black List.
Personal life
editCreighton previously played for Charlton Athletic girls academy.
