Why do you want to be an admin?

Q: So why do you want to be an admin?

A:I'd like to be an admin so that I can help out more. I'm not much of an article-writer, although I do have a couple DYKs. There are a lot more WikiGnome-ish things I can do as an admin. For example, when vandal fighting, it would be useful to be able to just block the vandal, instead of reporting to WP:AIV.

What do you expect from the admin coaching process?

Q: How can I help you prepare for an RFA?

A: Hard to describe. By teaching what sort of things I should be doing more of. Right now, I only have two informal opinions. Another just occurred to me: dealing with criticism, and how to word things in an RfA. In the questions here, things just didn't come out right.

1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?

A: I plan to work mostly at WP:AIV. I like vandal-fighting, and have done a fair bit of it, so that would be a good fit. I also plan to do some work at WP:CSD, but only after improving my knowledge of the criteria. Also, I would try my best to clear some of the admin backlog. As well, I would like to try my hand at WP:RPE.

2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?

A: I don't do much article-writing, but I'm proud of Alvin Powell. I have done some work with WP:AWB, such as adding the listas parameter to some talk pages (see below question). I really enjoy working with Huggle, reverting vandalism.

3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?

A: I have actually been in relatively few conflicts. Recently, after adding the listas parameter to talk pages, User:Geo Swan raised an issue on my talk page. I had started with the A's, and a lot of them were Arabic names. Geo pointed out that many Arabic names shouldn't be listed as Last Name, First Name. I was a bit rude before I realized who he was, based on the spelling mistakes in his first message. Other than that, there hasn't been much.
