Eric David Conrad is an American physicist, musician, and programmer. He obtained his bachelors in physics in 2010 from Michigan Technological University with minors in astrophysics and math. From Fall 2010 to Spring 2012 he went through a masters program in high energy particle physics at Colorado State University specializing in neutrino physics on the T2K experiment. During his undergrad he researched for the Pierre Auger Cosmic Ray Observatory and programmed physics algorithms for a company in Calumet, MI.

Conrad was born on the morning of October 17th, 1986 at the Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI in the United States. His parents created a positive and motivating environment for him to live in. As Eric grew up he went to Weston elementary for school in 4th grade and continued on in the D.C. Everest School District through high school.

In high school Eric started web designing under the title Exterior Angle Design and he made roughly 20 websites for clients around the Wausau area and this helped him learn PHP and SQL in his spare time. Conrad had already learned to program C when he was in 6th grade over the boredom of Christmas break so he was already familiar with many of the control structures presented.

During junior high and high school Conrad was involved in many music groups including Folk Rock Singers, several madrigals, jazz band, concert band, marching band, and a senior year garage band Serotonin. Music was always a large influence in Eric's life, he grew up to the sounds of Pink Floyd and this influenced his musical tastes throughout childhood and high school. Eric took piano lessons during 4th grade and in 7th grade began playing on Clarinet as a part as a transition program to Tenor Saxophone. Influenced by his brother, he decided to join jazz band and was in jazz during 8th, 9th, and 12th grades. During 9th grade he was also recruited by the choir director for Folk Rock Singers because he had gained much singing experience through singing in his younger schooling years.

Conrad's first guitar was a gift to him and his brother and it was meddled around with it occasionally. During the summer of his junior year Eric really started to get interested into playing guitar continued to work on getting better. Although Conrad was the singer for his band Serotonin, he continued to play guitar to learn how to sing and play. In college at Michigan Technological University he was demoed to sing for a college band, Afterburner Orange, he wrote vocals for two songs that he rearranged. Due to creative differences Afterburner Orange morphed into the epicly good progressive rock band Deadly Waters and Eric helped form up the band Third Coast. While in Third Coast the band wrote 20 songs with the main lineup of: Logan Hubert(guitar), Mike Glatz(bass), McGuire Irvine (guitar), and Merrill Dynes(drums). Third Coast played several university events at Michigan Technological University and toured around the upper peninsula of Michigan. Eric Conrad has also performed several solo acoustic sets and has wrote 30+ songs on his own.

Eric Conrad also enjoys writing about himself in 3rd person as an entertaining pass time activity. [1]
