The Psychological Defence Agency (Swedish: Myndigheten för psykologiskt försvar, MPF) is a Swedish government agency organised under the Ministry of Defence. It is responsible for countering disinformation and misinformation with the aim of harming Swedish interests.[2][3]
History
editIn 1940 Statens Informationsstyrelse (SIS), a predecessor to today's Psychologcial Defence Agency was formed. SIS functioned as a propaganda agency during the Second World War.
