LTC Ronald Spiers Awards

The picture of the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal should show one arrowhead and four stars based on the US Army's Center for Military History of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment[1]

The picture of the Korean Service Medal should show one arrowhead and four stars based on the US Army's Center for Military History the 187th Airborne Infantry Regiment [2]

The picture of the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal should be removed based on the fact that LTC Spiers retired in 1963 prior to the eligibility window opening for the Vietnam War Service Medal and the Vietnam War Campaign Medal. The VSM eligibility window is 3 July 1965 through 28 March 1973[3] and LTC Spiers returned to the US on/about 17 August 1963. Since an individual cannot earn the service medal you cannot qualify for the campaign medal[4]

He would have certainly earned the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for service in Laos[5]

Efforts working with Award icons --borrowed format from Col Dave Hackworths page.

Blithes page shows him being awarded the Army of Occupation ribbon which I don't think he could have earned based on the timing of his transfers and where he went.
