There are many cases here, the standard is that for count nouns the plural and singular usually point to the same place (like Car and Cars) per PLURALPT or at least the plural goes to a DAB (like Wall and Walls. Its unnecessary to list all instances here since there numerous, these are just some examples.

Singular is a DAB

edit

These are some cases where the singular may be ambiguous and lead to a DAB (like Oranges) or some other topic (like Cricket) but the plural is (relatively) unambiguous and may lead to the count noun rather than the article or DAB at the singular base name such as Oranges and Crickets.

As noted in many discussions its difficult to get an idea of the number of views since the singular title will usually have the article and most search engines land readers there rather than the redirect but when both the singular and plural Clipper ship gets 598 views compared to 126 for Clipper ships but when typing it into the search box "Clipper Ship" (56) and then when "s" is included "Clipper Ships" (4)[[1]] comes up in the suggestions (7/6/2020 - 7/26/2020). Views for "Cars" (2,712), "Oranges" (263) and Purples (15) with Car getting 46,875, Orange (fruit) (35,788) Orange (colour) (14,240) and Purple (19,870) (7/6/2020 - 7/26/2020)[[2]].
