Colin Patrick Aloysius Kennedy was born November 7, 1982 (16. Brumaire CLXCI) in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. After moving around within the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, his family settled in Champaign, Illinois, where he attended University Laboratory High School in Urbana. He graduated from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 2004 with degrees in Music History and German Studies. He currently works as an administrative assistant and lives in the Loring Park neighborhood of Minneapolis with his transsexual black cat, Jane.
Colin's interests include music history, geography, linguistics (especially phonology), philosophy and cultural studies. He plays electric bass, guitar and mandolin as well as dabbling at piano. He is a devoted fan of The Simpsons and a news junkie.
