Anas Balúči, (born December 11, 1988 in Muscat, Oman) is an Omani footballer who plays for Defense Team in Oman. Anas is currently studying in Malaysia and on loan to KBU. He is doing bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance in Malaysia, he is currently in his third and last year. Beside football and studying he loves to watch Serie A and other football leagues such as EPL, La Liga, and the Champions League. Anas is a crazy Juventus fan, and he likes Liverpool and Barcelona clubs as well. Internationally Anas of course supports his national team Oman and Italy. Far from football Anas loves music, movies, and backpacking. Anas is currently playing as a defender for KBU on loan from Defense Team.

Childhood & Early Ages

Anas loved football since early ages.

Anas's childhood and early ages were so peaceful and easy. He was at first living in Wadi Kabeer then moved to Ghubra near the beach where he enjoyed playing football with his friends at the beach. He always was close with his cousins and hang out together. Of course he loved football since early ages, he always had a ball with him anywhere he goes and used to play on the streets with his friends and relatives, and he played for his school team as well. Anas at first played as a Striker then later on he played as goal keeper.

Beside football Anas used to go fishing with his father weekly, and he likes swimming and jogging at the beach.

Juventus

Anas's story with Juventus started years ago when Roberto Baggio played for Juventus. Since Anas loved football a lot he got a gift from his father many different international jerseys, they were Italy, Holland, France, and Brazil jerseys. But he always choose to wear the Italy number '10' jersey and loved that particular number '10' Italy jersey, so he asked about the player who wears this jersey in Italy. So it was Roberto Baggio, and he was playing for Juventus those days. Here then Anas started his love with Juventus and supported Juve until now and forever.

Alessandro Del Piero

After he supported Juventus then this name showed up Alessandro Del Piero, a Juventus living legend. The player who took the number '10' from Baggio in Italy and Juventus as well. Del Piero scored goals more than any Juventus player and played more matches than any other player in Juventus. Anas's all time favorite player is Del Piero, his dream is meeting Del Piero in person. Beside that Anas wishes that Del Piero will lift the Champions League title this year with Juventus for his second time and third time in Juventus history. In Addition, he hopes that Del Piero will participate with Italy in 2010 World Cup as he deserves a place beside the other younger players, and Anas thinks that Del Piero will be a main figure to help Italy win the 2010 World Cup.

Football

Wadi Kabeer streets

It's the place where Anas first started playing football. He used to play as a striker in his early ages when he was playing at Wadi Kabeer streets. He used to play with his friends at his age, but he always liked to watch the more experienced old players play and learn from them.

Al Bahri

After moving from Wadi kabeer city to Ghubra he started to play for Al Bahri team in the area. He was still young but playing with older teammates, as he was mostly a sub for the team those times in the area. Al Bahri was a strong team and won competitions in many different small leagues there, but after few years the team had dropped bad and many problems happened inside the team and lots of controversies that led to the leaving many of the players in the team, and Anas was one of them. 2003 was the worst year for Anas in his football life where he didn't play football for a year because of an injury and different reasons. Al Bahri color were light sky blue.

2003-2004

In 2003 Anas was not playing football and not even training. It was a bad year for Anas's fitness where he lost a lot of his stamina and football skills and techniques. Until 2004 came Anas started getting his stamina back and training a lot, but still not playing football for around half of the year. After that he started playing as a goal keeper just to get fit with different teams because he was not ready for a better position and he was still not fit. He started working hard to get his fitness and stamina back and on the other hand he improved his goal keeping techniques until nearly the end of 2004, Anas started again to play as a defensive mid fielder or as a striker sometimes and started getting his stamina and techniques back until he and his friends formed Maqaber United.

Maqaber United

In 2005 Anas and some friends who have left Al Bahri team in 2003 managed to form a team and named it Maqaber. Maqaber was a strong defensive team with mostly young players and here Anas started playing as striker at first but eventually moved to play as a defender after a while when he and his friends found that Anas is better in the defense position. The team was progressing well in 2005 the first but later in 2006 the team progress rapidly fall down to the worst. Until many players just left the team easily and no one was training with the team anymore. In the same year Anas moved to Malaysia to continue his studies and left the team as well and continued to play with his college mates in Malaysia. In late 2007 until now Maqaber is back into good condition and started participating in many different competitions, but Anas is no more a Maqaber player. Maqaber color is red.

Defense Team

Defense team is formed at 2007 by Anas and his cousins and few other close friends, the team consists players from different ages from young fresh players at the age 16 to experienced 35 years old players. And it is the team Anas is playing for of course, as a defender. The team is in great progress and starting to gain popularity in the area and more players are joining the team. Anas is the vice-captain for the team, and Saud his cousin is the captain. At the mean time Anas is in Malaysia so he can't play for Defense team that is located in Oman. So he his currently playing for KBU college team just temporarily from the end of 2007 and is expected to end at mid of 2009 and return to his team Defense. The main Defense team color is white and red stripes on the sides. Anas's number in the team is '10' and the other main players in the team are Apool, Faris (Anas's brother), Saud (Captain), Saeed, Hammodi, and Yasser. The name Defense comes from Anas and his cousin's grandfather nickname, he is a former coach for Wadi Kabeer Streets team , he is currently working in a different field from football but there have been some rumors that contacts between him and Defense team been made to manage the team in the future.
