Branko Dzinovic (born June 15, 1981 in Šabac, Serbia) is a Serbian accordionist who currently lives in city of Vienna (Austria).
He was born in 1981 in Šabac (Serbia), where he began his accordion studies at primary music school. Following this he attended secondary school with best Serbian professor, Radomir Tomic in Kragujevac.
He currently makes Master Degree in class of Prof. Alfred Melichar at the "Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität" in Linz.
He has worked with many international luminaries such as: Friedrich Lips (Russia), Wyatcheslav Semenov (Russia), Jacques Mornet (France), Anders Grøthe (Norway), Tania Lukic-Marx (Australia).
He has achieved significant results in national and international competitions:
• I prize in festival "Days of accordion" in Smederevo (Serbia) '97;
• I prize in "Concorso Internazionale - Città di Stresa" (Italy) '97;
• I prize in "The first accordion of Serbia" in Belgrade (Serbia) '97;
• I prize in festival "Days of accordion" in Smederevo (Serbia) '98;
• I prize in "The competition of young accordionists" in Belgrade (Serbia) '98;
• VI prize in "Coupe Mondiale" in Nijmegen (Netherlands) '98;
• VIII prize in "Tropheo Mondiale" in Recoaro Terme (Italy) '98.
The most important success in his performing career to date, was achieved at the "Coupe Mondiale" in London October 2001, where he gained first prize in the inaugural Piano Accordion Class, receiving the title of "World Champion". This prestigious competition win resulted in a highly successful concert tour of Australia and New Zealand, organized by the Australian Accordion Teachers Association and the New Zealand Accordion Association.
In November of 2004 Dzinovic won first prize in "Das Podium" (Linz, Austria), student competition for all kinds of instruments. For the first time some accordion player won this competition.
