Two years or more edit

I've noticed that this template only covers up to two years, and some pages such as Non-binary gender have been part of the project in three years (or more). Should the template be expanded to cover all years or was there a consensus elsewhere to stick to just two years? Thanks! Tvcameraop (talk) 18:04, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

There's no reason not to expand the functionality of the template, but it's been a while since I've played with IF functions and all that so it might take a bit. Rcsprinter123 (push) 18:40, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Tvcameraop: That went easier than I thought. Three years are now supported. Rcsprinter123 (commune) 18:53, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Nice work! I haven't seen any pages which have been worked on over more than three years, so that should certainly do for now. Tvcameraop (talk) 19:06, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Rcsprinter123, Are you able to make the template support more than 3 years? This would be helpful for some talk pages, such as Talk:List of RuPaul's Drag Race contestants. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:28, 14 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Another Believer: I may be able to, but it will probably be a while before I can get around to it. Rcsprinter123 (interact) 02:37, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
I've just updated the template so that it can now support up to ten years (i.e. one parameter for every year of Wiki Loves Pride up to the current year). I'm not sure if there are any pages that would need to use all ten parameters, but it does guarantee that all talk pages will be able to fit their years into just one copy of the template. — Jamie Eilat (talk) 05:32, 12 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Jamie Eilat Thank you! ---Another Believer (Talk) 05:54, 12 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wait, small correction: eleven, not ten. Now that's all years up to current — Jamie Eilat (talk) 06:46, 12 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Documentation edit

Thanks! Is there documentation to add to the template page, so editors can easily understand how to use appropriately? ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:13, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I have added a documentation, and updated instructions at Wikipedia:Wiki Loves Pride/2020 so it's all set up for use. Rcsprinter123 (consult) 19:57, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Rcsprinter123, Thank you! Is there a way to disable to category at on the template page itself so not added to the 2014 and 2015 categories? ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:39, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
I have substituted the templates in the documentation to avoid this. Thanks for pointing out. Rcsprinter123 (push) 23:11, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
