Template talk:US tallest buildings lists by state

The tallest building in Illinois outside Chicago is Oakbrook Terrace Tower at 418 feet, which is well below the cutoff on the Chicago city list at 550 feet. Thus, would a link to the tallest buildings in Chicago be sufficient for Illinois, if I write a quick sentence about Oakbrook Terrace Tower being the tallest in the suburbs/state outside the city?

Cities

edit

For a few states (GA, IL, NV, CO, etc.) one major city's list of tallest buildings is more or less representative of all the skyscrapers in that state, so for these states, following New York's example I have linked to the city's list and added a link to an article for buildings outside that city.--MainlyTwelve (talk) 17:19, 18 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Needs a rework?

edit

Currently the US is the only country with a separate tallest building template for its cities and its states, but the one for the states also includes some, but not all, cities in parentheses. I think to make it cleaner we should either remove the cities, and perhaps merge the templates into one for cities and states. LivinAWestLife (talk) 05:16, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
