• I think it would be great if this template included player birthplaces. Considering how lenient international baseball eligibility rules are, I think it would be even more interesting than if birthplace info were included in templates for other sports, such as for international soccer squads.
• A parameter that generated a flag for the birthplace would also be helpful.
  • For teams such as the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Israel, which have rights to players in other hemispheres, using flags like , and would be a great way to visualize the makeup of their rosters.
  • For the national teams whose players were mostly born within their borders, it could also be useful to visualize rosters with state (e.g. ), prefectural (e.g. ) and provincial (e.g. ) flags.
• Actually displaying the players' ages at the time of the tournament is also important. That can be done with this template but I'm not really sure how to incorporate that into the larger template.
• It might also be useful to allow for more specific positions than "P," "C," "IF" and "OF." I tried figuring that part out but I really couldn't.
• Here's the work I've managed so far. It's hardly anything and even what's there might be trash:
