Template talk:Degree

Incorrect substitutions
editI was directed to post here by Anomie, user of the AnomieBOT.
It should be noted that the bot recently performed a rather odd substitution in the article Skurfing (sport) § Water skurfing. The bot substituted "{{degree|180}}" with "{{formatnum:180}}°". Why it chose to use {{formatnum:180}}° is not understood, and I couldn't find a reason for doing so in the {{degree}} template doc. As far as I can tell, the template is being used exactly as described, and the bot shouldn't have substituted it. I have temporarily reverted the bot's edit and added the nosubst=yes parameter to the template.

- Fixed. * Pppery * it has begun... 21:46, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
- I see you made a change to Template:Degree; what exactly that change does is beyond my knowledge. It would be nice if I understood it so I could have changed it myself. I see you also changed the usage on the Skurfing (sport) article; it looks clean now without the bot's weird substitution.
