Template:AflRleagueTemplate:AFL Tables – This template automates and standardises links to a statistics website, that was, until recently, hosted at http://stats.Rleague.com/afl, but is now hosted at http://AFLTables.com. Retaining the old name will confuse new editors, the new name is much clearer and more obvious to use. It is currently transcluded 5683 times, so I'd like a bot run to do the in-article rename once it's been moved too. --Relisted. • As all tiles have to start with a capital letter, so that makes it Afltables.com which isn't appropriate or correct. The website name is AFL Tables, the url/address is afltables.com. I don't see any confusion happening (at least not compared to AflRleague). Looking at Category:External_link_templates and subcats, I can't see many with .com in their template name. • {{Afltables.com}} is equivlant to {{afltables.com}} and {{AFLTABLES.COM}} because URLs basenames are not case sensitive. So "Afltables.com" is quite fine. However, this website uses the term "tables" as part of its name, and "tables" also has a different meaning on the web to mean HTML tables or wikitables, so it's not a particular good name to use, especially as on Wikipedia, we do use templates to build tables. Thus the URL base name works much better to indicate you shouldn't be using this to build a wikitable -- 67.70.35.44 (talk) 06:55, 21 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
