This template is an easier alternative to create highest score statistics tables in figure skating, and it satisfies the latest accessibility criteria for data tables. It can be used to list the top 10 of highest personal and absolute best scores by discipline for the different competition segments. It is also possible to list the highest technical element or program component scores. If a table requires more than 10 rows (because multiple skaters received the same score) or if you notice any bugs or have suggestions for additional parameters, please share them on the template's talk page.

Annotations

  • The following three global parameters must be determined to make the template work:
  1. |type=: set it "PB" for personal or "AB" for absolute best scores.
  2. |discipline=: select between "men", "women", "pairs", or "ice dance".
  3. |segment=: select one of the following eight segment codes on the right.
  • The table caption and column headers are generated automatically. They are determined by the global parameter settings for the template.
  • Each table row must contain the following mandatory information in this order:

For single skating statistics, the cells "First name 2" and "Last name 2" are left empty as shown in "Example 1" below.
  • To add a global reference to the table, use the parameter |ref=. This is mandatory for all statistics tables. Official ISU documents are the preferred source. If there is none available, statistics tables from SkatingScores.com may be accepted as a reliable alternative source.

Parameters

  • For highest historical scores achieved before the 2018–19 season, set the parameter |historical=yes.
  • For highest scores achieved at junior level, set the parameter |junior=yes.
  • For highest technical element scores (TES), set the parameter |TES=yes.
  • For highest program component scores (PCS), set the parameter |PCS=yes.
  • This template generates a sortable Wikitable, working with the template {{Sortname}} to sort the skaters alphabetically by their last name and link automatically to their Wiki biography articles. To make this template work correctly, take care of the following issues:
  1. For skaters whose name links to a disambiguation page like Javier Fernández, set the parameter |dabx=yes or |dab_px=yes to link correctly to their biography articles, in this case to Javier Fernández (figure skater). To see how the parameter is correctly used, scroll to the examples below.
  • For skaters whose biography articles have a different title than the usual first/last name format, use the parameter |linkx= or |link_px= to add the correct target page link.
  • For skaters from China, Korea, or other countries where the family name is written first, set "first name = family name" and "last name = given name". Use the parameter |sortx= or |sort_px= for correct sorting.
    Example: |Sui|Wenjing|sortx=Sui, Wenjing|Han|Cong|sort_px=Han, Cong|CHN|....
  • If two skaters or pairs were awarded the same score, set the parameter |idx=yes.
