Yusra Mardini edit

  • The article is new enough, having been created and expanded within the last week, and is just long enough at 1,704 characters per the DYK check tool. The article is well-cited as a whole, but reference 2 (the Guardian article) doesn't support the blurb in its entirety. It says that Mardini pushed the boat to Lesbos, but not that the journey took three hours after the motor failed. The blurb also implies that the boat belonged to Mardini or her family ("her" boat), when the source doesn't make that clear. Also, the article says the boat could take six or seven people, not seven or eight, and that there were 20 people on the boat instead of 21 (including Mardini). It looks like the totals are being miscounted, unless they came from another source. So those items need to be fixed before this can go on the Main Page. On the positive side, the blurb is eye-catching and formatting well, and I saw no close paraphrasing in the one source I've reviewed so far. I'll make sure to check another couple of sources once these issues are fixed, to ensure that no other mistakes snuck into the article. Giants2008 (Talk) 01:14, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
  • Ah I goofed. It's NPR that said it was 3 1/2 hours. I'll fix and ping. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:26, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
  • Okay, the NPR bit saying it was 3 1/2 hours is now a direct citation. I changed the blurb from "her" to "a" to try to suggest not-ownership. I think I mistook 6 or 7 for 7 or 8. NPR says there were 20 on the boat. QPQ is now done too. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:38, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
  • After a couple of other edits, the article should be good to go now. Giants2008 (Talk) 01:20, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
  • Oh I see, it said "other 20". I thought it just said 20. – Muboshgu (talk) 22:08, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
Oh my lord, I didn't even know all this was happening, LOL! I literally started a stub a few days ago, and now it's expanding so much. Hammad.511234 (talk) 04:45, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
