New enough (published to main namespace on 13 April 2016, diff), long enough, nominator exempt from QPQ review per QPQ check results, copyvio checks reveal no problems at this time (e.g. [1]); I removed some content in copyright infringement from the article when composing this review (diff). Matters that need to be addressed:
- Per D2 of the DYK Supplementary guidelines, all paragraphs should have at least one inline citation, which this article presently lacks.
- Hook content is somewhat verified in the article with an inline citation to a reliable source ([2]), but the source does not state that it was an "original" tree or that it is from Selly Oak. This source used in the article is not reliable per Wikipedia's standards. North America1000 05:48, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
It seems that it is the "original" oak that gave Selly Oak its name, but I am not able to find a reliable source which definitively states this. I'll see if I can come up with an alternative hook. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:48, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

It has been over a month without an alternative hook, or indeed any response at all from MSGJ since April 25, despite talk page notices. Marking for closure as unsuccessful. The issues may still be addressed before this is closed. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:11, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
