ALT1:... that in his biographical trilogy of Franz Kafka, Reiner Stach (pictured) ends with Kafka's youth? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:39, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
Love that alt1, great lead with pic or quirky slot!PumpkinSky talk 20:41, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Length, date, original hook's ref verified. No apparent paraphrasing issues. All paragraphs sourced. (No to ALT1 as Kafka's youth book has yet to be written.) --Rosiestep (talk) 01:55, 2 October 2012 (UTC)

I confess that I am not happy with the original hook as being too general, saying no more than "massive". Quoted from the same review we might say more specifically:
ALT2:... that in his biographical trilogy of Franz Kafka, Reiner Stach (pictured) "gives us a vivid portrait of the cramped family household in which Kafka lived until he was 30"?
ALT3:... that in his biographical trilogy of Franz Kafka, Reiner Stach (pictured) "is borrowing his subject's style ... almost even his voice"? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:09, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
