  • New article created within 7 days of nomination. Based on German article of same name, no copyvios or plagiarism concerns. Hook is interesting, is under 200 characters, and sourced with a German-language ref which holds up following a cursory Google translate. Article is relatively well-written and sourced appropriately. I would not include with image, as at 100 x 100px it is hard to make anything out and it does not add value. I also believe the hook requires some phrasing adjustments, which I have added as an ALT below, which will require additional sign-off before DYK can be approved. • ALT1: ... that the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock was the first German symphony orchestra to resume performances as a full ensemble following the COVID-19 pandemic?
Thank you for the review, and the ALT. I am not sure if we can say "performances" because - due to further restrictions - that may have been the only one. Also, there's no "after the pandemic" yet. I think the image may pass the news that Rostock is on the sea, and the size (without having to give a number which would be 71). --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:21, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
True, those are good points. I'm still not convinced about including the photo; yes it does give a sense of scale for the size of the orchestra but I fear at a certain resolution for DYK it becomes hard to make out any discernible features, be they people, sea, land, etc.. The current hook I personally find a bit too run-on and slightly different to understand. It took me a few read throughs to understand that there was an orchestral season (which I wasn't aware of previously) and that it was blocked by the pandemic. I've taken another stab at a further ALT, which hopefully is a suitable compromise. Sims2aholic8 (talk) 15:28, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
  • ALT2: ... that the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock was the first German symphony orchestra to perform as a full ensemble following a hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic?
That's fine with me, English is not my first language, hiatus not a term I would have known. I believe that you can approve as it's only a rewording, no new fact. - I happened to have listened to the first concert of a similarly named orchestra after the hiatus who played it with about half the people. Let the prep builder decide about the pic (knowing that they always have too many). --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:36, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
  • Good stuff, happy to approve now with ALT2. Sims2aholic8 (talk) 16:35, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
