Lou Vairo

5x expanded by Flibirigit (talk). Self-nominated at 23:27, 25 March 2020 (UTC).

  • Article long enough, 5x expanded within a week of nom, well-written with inline citations everywhere, all hooks checked except ALT2 (page not mentioned) but I will AGF on that, all are supported by inline citations, I personally think the first hook is better than the rest (among them I find only ALT1 interesting), no copyvio issues. You should use Google Books instead of Internet Archive which needs a free registration instead for Star Spangled Hockey. Cheers, Sainsf (knock knock · am I there?) 16:47, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
  • Re-opening nom, as requested; the article, and the source, don't quite support ALT0. Vanamonde (Talk) 16:01, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
  • I should have an update ready within 24 hours. Thank you for being patient. Flibirigit (talk) 10:21, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
  • I have struck ALT2 as I am not happy with its wording. In response to Sainsf, I linked Star Spangled Hockey to Google Books when I originally wrote the article, but this edit by User:InternetArchiveBot changed it. I am still thinking over ALT0. Flibirigit (talk) 01:09, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
  • @Vanamonde93:, I have made some updates which I feel strengthen the sourcing for ALT0 as is. Two citations were added that specifically say Vairo introduced European methods to the US. I have used the same language in the introduction and in the body to be rather blunt, for lack of a better word. Flibirigit (talk) 05:49, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
  • Much better, thank you. restoring tick per my verification of the hook and the previous review. Vanamonde (Talk) 16:14, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
