Last Mountain Lake Bird Sanctuary

  • New enough. Long enough. 4 previous DYKs, so this is the last free pass! Thoroughly referenced, including the interesting ALT0 hook. ALT1 also passes muster, but isn't very interesting. My clear preference is for ALT0. Earwig and spot checking found no significant close paraphrasing issues, copyright violations or plagiarism. NPOV. Well written, bar a trivial typo (now fixed). One thought, if the hook link was to Last Mountain Lake MBS or Last Mountain LBS, we would have a shorter hook and avoid repeating "bird sanctuary". Any thoughts? • Quick note: I have a few more than 4 DYKs. I'm adding my review of New York Gold Exchange as QPQ (see my DYK tracker). Mindmatrix 23:25, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
  • To be honest, I'm not a fan of the shortened versions, and the hook isn't that long anyway. I suppose you could use them if you find the repetition annoying, but the repeated terms aren't too close to each other. (I also note you avoided Last Mountain Lake BS...for some reason or other.) • Odd that "QPQ check" in the DYK toolbox only shows 4 DYKs. Very decent of you to do the right thing. I'm fairly relaxed about the repetition, and will happily leave any such call to those later on in the process. As you say, it is well-spaced. Edwardx (talk) 00:05, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
  • I think the QPQ check fails in certain conditions, such as the way I archive my talk pages. I'll bring it up at WT:DYK. Mindmatrix 00:16, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
