What's interesting about him is that he went west like Bierstadt and Moran, accepted into the Centential exhibition and then faded into obscurity. So perhaps ...

Interesting facts from a life, with some "holes", on good sources, no copyvio obvious. - Let's talk about the article first. I'd put one painting in the infobox, to give an idea of his style at a glance. I'd centre the other captions, and more would be nice to know (painted where, size). Too bad we don't have a painting from the American West, or a hook would be easier. Will his relatives get an article, anytime soon. If not, I'd remove the links. - Of the hooks, I like ALT1 best, but would include that he came from England. I strike the original as rather boring, ALT2 as I don't think the musical is sufficiently widely known to make it appealing, and ALT3, as to have twins says nothing about his. I encourage you to select an image, and say something like "while American West early, accepted to a prominent exhibition", he later painted like this". It would be nice if the article could tell us where he painted the southern bells, which seem most attractive (in small size) to me, in 1894. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:47, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

ALT6:... that Hamilton Hamilton, best known for his landscapes of the American west, lived most of his life in the American north east and painted portraits of "Southern Belles" (pictured)?"

following up on suggestions by Gerda Arendt. Alt4 is a slight variation on Alt1. Alt5 tries to work in the painting. It doesn't seem like you can break up his styles by time as he painted both throughout his career. I don't think this one works. Alt6 combines 4 & 5 with a N S E W juxtaposition. I have a photo of one of his western works I took a few weeks ago when I learned about him. I'll try to figure out the current licensing rules at Commons and upload it, it's a beauty.
