Gigolo FRH

edit
  • ... that a German Gigolo is dressage's most successful horse in history?

  • Meets all the requirements. Amazing record in international sport. Given the proximity to the Olympics, you could potentially think up an Olympic related hook and hold it off the games. Miyagawa (talk) 18:34, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
  • We could do something like ALT1: "... that a German Gigolo has won four gold and two silver medals at the Summer Olympics?". I have no problem with either running the DYK now or waiting until the Olympics - whatever the DYK mavens think is most appropriate. Dana boomer (talk) 21:06, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
  • That works, I'll leave it up to the DYK community to see whether they want to use it now or leave it till the end of July. Miyagawa (talk) 21:23, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
  • We're so low on approved hooks at the moment, I've almost grabbed this two or three times before remembering that the DYK community needs to chime in. My thought is that this is outside the usual six weeks, so we normally wouldn't hold on to it. We have, however, been known to stretch to seven or eight weeks, which would just about do it. Still, with the Olympics gearing up already, there's no reason not to use the alternate now, if we want. (I've just given that one an "ALT1" tag.) Admittedly, each time I've wanted it for the quirky final slot, which may not be what you had in mind, but it seems perfect... BlueMoonset (talk) 02:09, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
