Florian Boesch

Created by LouisAlain (talk), Grimes2 (talk), and Gerda Arendt (talk). Nominated by Gerda Arendt (talk) at 22:00, 24 July 2021 (UTC).

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation

Image eligibility:

QPQ: Done.

Overall: The hook is a little bland. Perhaps a more interesting ALT1 might be that he took his first singing lessons with his grandmother, also a notable singer. Bahnfrend (talk) 09:21, 7 August 2021 (UTC)

  • @LouisAlain, Grimes2, and Gerda Arendt: Echoing Bahnfrend above, I wonder if a new hook could be crafted. The "specialist for lied recitals" I find interesting, but following that reads merely as contextless events. I also would suggest another couple of sentences in the lead, as the single sentence does not encapsulate the article and that is all many readers will see. CMD (talk) 14:58, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
ALT1: ... that a reviewer wrote "one of the most powerful lieder albums of recent years" about Florian Boesch's 2011 recording of Winterreise with Malcolm Martineau? Source: [1] Grimes2 (talk) 16:02, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
Thanks, I think that's better. With a lead tweak, I think this will be good for promotion. CMD (talk) 11:45, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
