Lengths, dates, and NPOV are good, but another QPQ is needed since there are two articles. If you are willing to use a hook that only mentions one of these, I would suggest:
ALT1: ... that Robert Soutar was a cast member in the original performance of Thespis, the first Gilbert and Sullivan opera?- is imho a more interesting hook, but both are cited so whichever you want is fine. If you go with the original, just the QPQ is needed, if you go with the alt, it's good to go. Thingg⊕⊗
- Jack1956, what about a separate hook for Farren Soutar? It would be a shame for Farren's article not to be highlighted at all. Or you could combine info from the two hooks into a single hook to retain father and son together. Perhaps something like:
- ALT2: ... that Robert Soutar was a cast member in the original production of Thespis, the first Gilbert and Sullivan opera, and his son Farren starred in Edwardian musical comedies in London and on Broadway?
- ALT2 is 197 characters, which is fine for a two-article hook. Note that an independent reviewer will be needed for either ALT, since neither Thingg nor I can review our own hooks. I think adding the G&S connection will help attract readers. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:45, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
