Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg

- Who officiates it has to be the least DYK worthy detail about this match. (t · c) buidhe 22:07, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
- I suppose you have a better blurb? elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 01:37, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- I agree that who officiates it is quite boring. I would suggest something like "Did you know that Elon Musk plans to fight Mark Zuckerberg by laying on top of him?" and cite the WaPo article. Di (they-them) (talk) 02:00, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- The match is pretty well-known, so I wanted to go with something that was unconventional. Breton is not expected to actually officiate it, especially as a 68-year-old businessman. The issue with blurbing this article in particular is that's unconfirmed. This is one of the only details that could possibly be mentioned without giving credence to the fight itself. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 01:50, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
- I don't know if it's "pretty well known" outside of people that keep up with Twitter drama, personally I found out about it from the Wikipedia article. I think on its own the fight is already unconventional as far as fun facts go. As far as it being unconfirmed, that's why I wrote "plans to fight" rather than "will fight". - I haven't read the article, but proposing a perhaps more interesting hook:
- ALT2: ... that a proposed cage match between billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg could generate more than a billion dollars in pay-per-view revenue? Source: https://www.cnbc.com/2023/06/23/musk-zuckerberg-ufc-cage-match-will-cost-100-dollars.html Longhornsg (talk) 20:17, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
- New enough, long enough. ALT1 short enough, sourced, and brilliant (could be shortened to just "that Musk plans to lie on top of Zuckerberg", but it's brilliant as is). Every paragraph has a cite. No neutrality problems found, no copyright problems found, no maintenance templates found. Good to go.--Launchballer 13:52, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
