Edge of the Knife edit

Fascinating topic, thanks for bringing it here. New enough, long enough, and verifiable, as far as I can tell. The use of quotations is a little high, and in particular I would suggest you rephrase the quote from the NYT, which is very long. Earwig's tool only highlights quotations. I see no neutrality issues with the article, though a slight tendency to use terminology which isn't quite mainstream; "fluent elders" jumped out at me. I'm also confused by the sentence beginning "Some backers of the film are reconciliation efforts in Canada for the residential school system..." which seems to have something missing. Finally, the hook, though fascinating, is not in the body of the article, where it needs to be present and cited, per the DYK rules. QPQ has been completed. - Thanks for your comments. I seem to always get carried away with quotations – I've cut back on them in the prose and removed one box quote. I've changed elders to "speakers" (most if not all Haida speakers are over 60 years old, too). Also reworded a line so the hook jumps out a little more. - Thank you; those edits look good. My apologies for not being clearer about the hook. What I should have said was; the ALT hook, and specifically the factoid about this being the first feature film in that language, seems to me to be far more interesting, but that's the one I cannot find in the body.
