  • Article was recently promoted to GA. Meets all content criteria. The first hook (which I prefer) is referenced to an off-line source, and is quite interesting. I would mention that the titular character was to be the mascot, not the game itself (see below). QPQ looks good. SounderBruce 06:54, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

Pulled from Preps, nomination reopened. Discussed at WT:DYK#Bug!; it was not "going to be the mascot", it was one of three candidates. Fram (talk) 10:54, 14 December 2016 (UTC)

I've rephrased the hook to specify that it was one of three candidates to be a mascot, although that is only covered in IGN. Fram, I'm afraid I'm not that savvy with the DYK process so I'm not sure if I have to renominate this at the main DYK nominations page or ping someone to ask them to put it back in the prep queue?   • A new reviewer will have to approve this, and then it can go back to the preps. But you shouldn't have changed the original hook but suggested a new one, now you are making the discussion hard to follow. Fram (talk) 14:28, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
  • I have restored the original hook, since it was promoted in that way and we need to keep the historical discussion straight. The revised hook is now ALT2, which I have listed immediately below, but with an added "a" so it makes grammatical sense (the "a" is used in the nominated article).   • Jaguar, it's still visible on the nominations page, and is waiting for a new reviewer to check ALT2 (that's what the red icon above means: new reviewer needed). There's quite a backlog at DYK, so it may be a while before a reviewer comes by, and then for it to be promoted to a prepare area, and for there to a queue. Please be patient.
