edit

5x expanded by Maury Markowitz (talk). Self-nominated at 18:27, 21 January 2016 (UTC).

  • Comment I thought the first bit of the hook was somewhat redundant, so have added an ALT1. Edwardx (talk) 12:32, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
  • At Rjwilmsi's edit on 11 November 2015 article was 564 char, currently 11689 char/> 5x expanded, long enough. Expansion completed on 21 Jan and nom same day/new enough. Neutral. Cited throughout. There are a few areas of close paraphrasing. No image. With 80 DYKs on the boards, QPQ is required. ALT1 is "hookier", IMO. 183 char/under maximum. Interesting, but citations do not immediately follow. Please correct:

  • Close paraphrasing:"She won the James Scott Scholarship in Mathematics and Physics in her third year. In 1944, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and physics, having had the highest marks in her classes every year" vs. "She finished First Class each year and won the James Scott Scholarship in Mathematics and Physics in her third year. In 1944, she graduated with a bachelor of arts in mathematics and physics"  Done SusunW (talk) 19:34, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
  • The statement that she wrote the first program is cited to Campbell p. 54, but do not see the information on that page. Page 55 does say she prepared the first report on the results on tables of squares and primes and order code routines, but I don’t see where it says she wrote the program. Need a specific citation following the statement which confirms the information please.  Done cited to off-line source.
  • "considered to be the first PhD dissertation written about modern computers" needs to be cited immediately following the statement by Campbell, p. 55  Done SusunW (talk) 19:34, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
  • "Over the next year she spent 150 days at sea, many of them on the NRE's Bangor-class minesweeper, HMCS Quinte, setting a record for Wrens that stands to this day." needs to be cited immediately following the statement by "Campbell, p. 53"  Done Citation made, corrected page number SusunW (talk) 19:34, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
Overall a really fascinating article. Thank you for your work on expanding it. SusunW (talk) 18:40, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

All issues noted above have been addressed. However, I cannot find the QPQs, of which I have dozens. Can someone tell me how to find these in my contlribs? Don't say "just look" before looking at my contlribs. Maury Markowitz (talk) 19:05, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

If there is a program for that, I don't know of it, but I am not technically inclined. The QPQ check on DYK above only tells me how many articles you have created, not reviewed. SusunW (talk) 19:34, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
Maury Markowitz, you can get a list from your Contributions page by selecting "Template" for the Namespace parameter: here are your last 250 edits in that area, which go back well over a year. It can't distinguish between reviews and nominations, but I imagine that'll be easy for you to sort out. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:31, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
That's exactly what I needed BM...

AGF to off-line source for writing first program. Should be GTG. SusunW (talk) 16:46, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
