Anne-Marie (singer) edit

  • It meets most of the DYK criteria, but I think the sourcing style is insufficient: it does not have access dates and preferably author data, so it runs afoul of WP:V's requirement that sources be cited "clearly and precisely". ViperSnake151  Talk  00:46, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
I've added access dates - all of them were accessed on the same day - but I cannot remember the authors and I am too tired to check. I'll have a look tomorrow.--Launchballer 00:54, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
Is this hook "fact" actually a fact? The Guardian article cited certainly describes her as a "triple world champion", and some Google searching reveals the same phrase in a number of sources, which presumably means the Guardian journalist has done the same Googling, but what are the actual details of her world championships? I would have thought that world titles would be traceable in some way as the name of the event, dates and results - for example this local news website possibly provides some details of one of her championships [1]. If we're going to describe someone on the main page as a "triple world champion" I'd say it ought to be a claim which could be verified somewhere and not just by quoting the phrase from a newspaper article. Sorry, I spend my weekends working on my website. The Tokon Kai website itself doesn't confirm it either. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
The information seems to have come directly from Echo Location Talent, which I reckon would have come from her. I've been had.

ALT1: ... that Anne-Marie shared a stage with Jessie J as a kid?--Launchballer 12:12, 2 August 2016 (UTC)

  • Full review needed now that problematic hook has been struck and replaced. BlueMoonset (talk) 15:58, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
  • It is long enough, was new at time of nomination, it is written neutrally and I cannot find any evidence of copyright violations. It has many inline citations. The ALT1 hook is short, interesting and sourced in the article. ツStacey (talk) 20:03, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
  • There is at least one bare URL reference, which is not allowed for DYK articles. Launchballer, please fix the reference so this can be passed. BlueMoonset (talk) 20:58, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
Wasn't there last time I looked. WP:REFLINKS'd.--Launchballer 21:05, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
  • Restoring Stacey's tick now that the bare URL ref has been dealt with. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:59, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
